Along with the exceptional photography of The Coveteur, Misha chose to explore the vibrant culture of Beijing for her W Inspiration Trip, traversing the city’s unique blend between the traditional and contemporary, gaining creative influences for collections to come.

Influenced by the historical elements of Chinese painting and architecture, Beijing has a love for modern art that’s celebrated on the streets. Art is everywhere, from the large public sculptures to the thriving museums, giving us a chance to see something new, exciting and inspiring at every turn.
Color
No matter where you go in Beijing, the colors in the markets, parks, restaurants, and streets are brilliantly captivating. Misha found inspiration in the natural reds of the koi ponds to the many blues and greens at the craft market, a direct link to her colorful collection of jewel tone designs.

Nothing like a foodie feast to really get your creative appetite going. Beijing is a hub for unbelievable cuisine, from authentic Chinese dim sum to street kebabs to an actual golden duck, it’s hard not to feel like royalty with this spread.

After exploring the markets and temples, gaining creative power from around the city to take back home, Misha wanted to share her collection with the locals. The chic, wearable and ultimately vibrant clothing and shoes from her last collection seemed like a perfect fit in W Beijing Chang’an’s vivacious setting.
